THINKHUGE gives great perspectives of life/work balance and applying the concepts of VISION, PEOPLE, PASSION, TIME, PERSERVERENCE & LEARNING by giving real-life examples for your personal life and your professional life. I particularly enjoyed (and will start using) building upon my skills as a Leader both at home (leading a family) and in my role as Vice-President (leading a team). When you THINKHUGE, you get back to focusing on what is really important in life, instead of what can derail us. You'll learn how to discover your passion, maximize your time, inspire those around you, set the right goals and never give up on them.

Mark Arnold and Rory Rowland also bring very personal stories of their own life experiences which will help spark your own vision of how to get to where you really should be.

Worthy of multiple readings! (Starting my 2nd time right now!)

Stan: Thanks for your great comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the book. It's awesome to see you apply to both your work and family.

In our generally over-scheduled and too-busy-to-catch-a-breath existence comes a slender tome that encourages an important idea: Think Huge.

This new book tackles a lofty goal that stands behind the Think Huge title—to help you and me process dreams and desires into the fabric of life. Think Huge, written by Mark Arnold with help from Rory Rowland, is an action plan.

Mark Arnold is a facilitator. In Think Huge, he weaves stories of the rich and famous with those of his co-workers, neighbors, friends and family to create a tapestry that reveals how people make choices that put them on the path to personal and/or professional success.

Although Think Huge is small, the content is not lightweight. It conveys an arsenal of inspiring anecdotes gleaned from his many, many speaking opportunities around the country along with pivitol points in his own life. But beyond that, Mark provides a formula for organizing and shaping many of our unfocused aspirations. He also provides chapter-ending summaries and practical steps to turn the thoughts offered in this book into action in your own life.

Mark Arnold is a marketing expert, who is a senior executive in the financial services industry. He is an author and a public speaker. He is a husband and father--an everyman, but one who has decided to live a purposeful life. He’s hiked to the top of the tallest peak in North America and pushes his limits as a marathon runner. He seeks, and most importantly for us, he shares.

I once had a college professor—a somewhat well-known and Pulitzer Prize nominated poet named Dabney Stuart—who chided me to write what I experience. To a know-it-all college student, I initially found the advice off-putting. But slowly, his well-chosen words sunk in, and my writing changed from vague desire to the more meaningful concrete textures of experience. And I began to become a real writer. Mark Arnold’s very real passion shines though in this new book. Mark is living life huge, and writes what he experiences.

In this selection, and among the set pieces of practicality, persistence and passion, is a well-worn, but constantly-useful, nugget of advice: “Always carry a book with you—No matter where you are, have something to read. You have segments of minutes here and there throughout the day that you could be reading. Never be caught without something to read.”

I recommend you carry along a copy of Think Huge. It is slender book that would fit nicely into your life. It won’t take up much room, but it will offer up some big ideas for making your time on Earth purposeful and oriented toward the goals that are truly huge.
